Business Analyst – Lombard Lending - Consulting Assignment in Private Banking

SpeciTec SA is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a private bank in reviewing its credit processes, with a focus on Lombard lending. Working alongside SpeciTec’s credit specialists, you will document existing processes, identify improvement opportunities and define a Target Operating Model and transformation roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Lead interviews and workshops with Front Office, Credit, Operations, Risk, Compliance and IT teams.
• Map the end-to-end credit lifecycle, from origination and analysis through approval, documentation, implementation, monitoring, renewal and breach management.
• Document roles and responsibilities, controls, systems and data flows, including manual activities.
• Identify inefficiencies and gaps against industry best practices, design target processes and prioritise transformation initiatives.
• Prepare deliverables in English and present findings to stakeholders for validation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business analysis and process mapping within private banking or lending.
• Sound knowledge of Lombard lending, including collateral, loan-to-value ratios, haircuts, credit limits, margin calls and risk monitoring.
• Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews independently and translate business discussions into clear, structured documentation.
• Proficiency in process modelling, ideally using BPMN or Visio, and responsibility mapping using RACI matrices. Experience designing Target Operating Models would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and report-writing skills, with professional English essential for deliverables.

Assignment details

Based in Geneva, with an indicative duration of 8–10 weeks, subject to confirmation of scope and stakeholder availability. Start date to be agreed. The assignment covers analysis and target operating model design; implementation and IT development are outside the scope.
