CONTEXT & MISSION:

In order to strengthen our legal team, we are looking for a Legal Counsel who will provide legal advice and support to the L’Occitane Group business and entities. The Legal Counsel will be part of our Group Legal team, hence dealing with a variety of topics including manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, sponsorship, lease, corporate, litigation, IP matters, data protection.

This position reports to the Group Head of Legal, Commercial & Corporate Affairs, and is based in Plan-les-Ouates (Geneva, Headquarters).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Negotiate, review, comment on and draft a wide range of legal and commercial documents (including manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, partnership, etc.)
  • Support the development and management of distribution networks (selective distribution, exclusive distribution, franchising, distributors)
  • Advise operational teams, in particular the sales, marketing and e-commerce teams
  • Ensure that commercial practices comply with consumer and competition law
  • Help to prevent and manage pre-litigation and litigation matters

HOW YOU CAN FIT:

  • Master's degree in business or economic law
  • +5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a Corporate environment and within B2C industry
  • Fluent in English and French, with solid writing skills in both languages
  • Excellent knowledge of contract, distribution and consumer law
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate and efficiently manage multiple queries ans issues
  • Business-oriented and pragmatic mindset
  • Attention to details and rigorous approach
  • Team player, with good communication & interpersonal skills
