Position Overview

We are an established commercial business in Geneva seeking an autonomous, trustworthy Trade Finance Officer. This is a 100% in-office role managing trade finance portfolios, contract flows, and day-to-day corporate communications.

The position requires a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, reliability and personal responsibility, with the ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and coordinate effectively with banks, counterparties, suppliers, buyers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Finance & BankingManage day-to-day communication and correspondence with banks, suppliers, buyers and other commercial counterparties.Review, check and coordinate Letter of Credit (LC) drafts, including comments, amendments and negotiations with relevant parties.Prepare, submit, deliver and follow up on Cash Against Documents (CAD) documentation and related banking processes.Monitor trade finance transactions and ensure that required documentation is complete, accurate and submitted within the relevant deadlines.Contracts & Commercial DocumentationPrepare and coordinate sales contracts, ensuring that commercial terms and agreed transaction details are accurately reflected.Maintain and organise transaction-related documentation and correspondence.Coordinating documents flow between internal stakeholders, banks, suppliers, buyers and other counterparties.Office Administration & Record KeepingMaintain accurate and well-organised physical and electronic filing systems for trade, banking, contractual and corporate documentation.Ensure documents are properly archived and readily accessible when required.Follow up on outstanding documentation, signatures, approvals and other administrative matters.Accounting SupportCollect, organise and provide accurate transaction and financial data for accounting purposes.Prepare and maintain supporting information and accounting tables in coordination with the relevant accounting function.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

5+ years of proven experience bridging trade finance operations and office management within Switzerland.Proven track record executing and managing Letter of Credit (L/C) and Cash Against Documents (CAD) mechanisms.Strict commitment to a full-time, structured, on-site office rhythm (Monday to Friday, no hybrid option).Excellent command of English (for commercial contracts and deals) and French (for local administration and vendors).
