About the Position

We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated Accountant (50%) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working independently and managing the complete accounting cycle from A to Z.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring compliance with Swiss accounting and tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle from A to Z
• Record and reconcile all accounting entries
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
• Prepare and submit Swiss VAT returns and VAT reconciliations
• Prepare and follow up on anticipated tax reclaims and tax-related documentation
• Prepare accruals, provisions, and deferred entries
• Perform all month-end and year-end closing entries
• Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with Swiss accounting standards
• Calculate annual Swiss corporate taxes and support tax compliance
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and authorities when required
• Assist management with financial reporting and ad hoc analyses

• Required Qualifications

  • Several years of proven experience in Swiss accounting
  • Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle and Swiss accounting regulations
  • Excellent understanding of:
    
    • Swiss VAT
    • Year-end closing procedures
    • Accrual accounting
    • Swiss corporate taxation
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Reliable, discreet, and trustworthy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • French and english a must

  Software Requirements

  Proficiency with the following software is essential:

  • Crésus Comptabilité
  • Crésus Facturation
  • Crésus Salaires

  Experience with the complete Crésus suite will be considered a significant advantage.
