Senior Project Manager – Buy-Side Carve-Out

On behalf of our client, a global organisation based in Basel, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a critical workstream within a complex business transformation.

• More than ten years of relevant senior project or programme management experience.
• A proven record of delivering large, complex, cross-functional programmes in global organisations.
• Experience working on at least two carve-out programmes, including at least one buy-side carve-out.
• Strong knowledge of carve-out planning, governance, stakeholder coordination and operational readiness.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams, critical paths, risks, issues and interdependencies.
• Demonstrable ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment without relying on direct authority.
• Strong facilitation, communication and executive-reporting skills.
• Experience delivering change in dynamic transformation environments.
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
• Experience in manufacturing, operational or regulated environments would be advantageous.
• PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP or an equivalent project-management qualification would be beneficial.

This individual will lead the general carve-out workstream and provide structured programme and stakeholder support across a complex, global transformation. The successful candidate will report directly to the Carve-Out Lead, who reports to the CEO.

• A strong record of delivering large-scale, complex programmes in global organisations.
• Substantial senior project or programme management experience.
• Experience supporting business transformations, acquisitions, integrations, carve-outs or significant organisational change.
• Direct experience of a buy-side carve-out would be highly advantageous.
• Experience in manufacturing, operational or regulated environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of programme governance, integrated planning, milestone management and executive reporting.
• Demonstrable experience managing critical paths and dependencies across several workstreams.
• Confidence influencing senior stakeholders without relying on direct authority.
• Strong facilitation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to provide structure and direction in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment.
• PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP or a comparable project-management qualification would be beneficial.

• A central role within a newly established Carve-Out Management Office.
• Direct reporting to the Carve-Out Lead, with exposure to senior leadership.
• Responsibility for a strategically important global programme.
• An initial six-month contract with the option to extend
